Spring Creek Farm is an established, Certified Naturally Grown sustainable farm located in the beautiful valleys of East Tennessee
Spring Creek Farm is a 150 acre family farm nestled in Elk Valley, Tennessee since 1972. We provide grass-fed beef, pork and other pastured meats, as well as Certified Naturally Grown Produce, Fruits, Herbs, Cut and Edible Flowers. Plus delicious jams, jellies, butters, pickled goods and more that are created right here on the farm, in our certified kitchen. Raising grass-fed beef and lamb for nearly 20 years now, as well as huge family gardens for much longer, we have countless hours of time and effort dedicated to bringing our family and customers the best products possible.
As stewards of the land we keep, we strive to maintain a healthy soil by using what we have available on hand. Collecting manure here on the farm, weeds pulled from the garden (and elsewhere on the farm), leaves harvested in the Fall along with several other organic ingredients. The compost we create is used in all the gardens to grow the most delicious and healthy food for ourselves and many East Tennessee families. In addition, we always water with 100% Pine Mountain Spring Water.
We are a small farm - our cultivated garden area is about 3 acres. We do all of our growing, maintenance, harvesting, canning, drying and packaging. This allows us to grow varieties of vegetables and greens that just cannot be grown on a large scale, where produce needs to survive mechanical harvesting and mass storage. Your food is only handled once before you handle it. You won't ever see some of the stuff we grow in any supermarket and only very rarely at the farmers' markets. We raise our food to higher standards because this is what we feed our children and ourselves. We care what goes into their bodies and only want the best. We care about the conditions and lives of our animals. To get the best meat means treating the animals humanely and giving them happy lives on pasture. Being health conscious and committed to Certified Naturally Grown to raise NON-GMO, heirloom and organic fruits and vegetables, we bring our customers and community Healthy, Tasty foods from the Heart of Spring Creek Farm.
We also welcome travelling apprentice farmers (WWOOFers and Help Xers : traveling volunteers) to learn about and experience family farming and enjoy the vast beauty that East Tennessee has to offer. This give and take relationship allows us to share with others who are interested in learning and gives us the necessary help we need. Teaching future farmers to conserve and preserve!
